The SearchAlert TSA Case Lock is specifically designed for air travel with Firearm cases or equipment cases requiring a thick 1/4" shackle. The SearchAlert case lock will not fit most standard luggage zippers and lock holes which require a smaller shackle. The only TSA locks with a thick 1/4" shackle.

The SearchAlert re-settable combination case lock was designed with a security feature which allows TSA airport security agents, using a secured access device, to open the SearchAlert lock without destroying the lock. TSA agents are trained to recognize the Travel Sentry Certified Logo and should not break the luggage lock.
The SearchAlert case lock security Window changes from Green to Red when the TSA secured access device is used to open the lock, or if an unauthorized person has opened the lock. You can set the SearchAlert window back to green with your personal combination.
