I take it with me if I'm going to be outdoors for more than a few minutes to protect my smartphone in case of rain. As others have noted, the inside of the plastic pouch can be a little sticky so I put a piece of paper inside as a frictionless sleeve.

BOTTOM LINE Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
