Comments about TSA Cable Lock
I've been trying different locks for the Pelican cases, since we started using them as checked luggage we were averaging one missing lock per two segments. (Good thing there they take two locks, right? Pack extras.) I like that my belongings don't get crushed in transit, but the outside of the case seems to be taken as some kind of baggage handler personal challenge and that's really hard on locks.
These seem to hold up better than the metal extended hasp ones, we only lost one in 5 segments although some of them got pretty beat up on the cable plastic coating. They are a bit fussy to set the combination on (read the directions and get somebody to help hold the button in) but after that they work well.
The only thing I wish these had were the search alert feature, so I'm going to try the other cable locks that have that and see if they are as sturdy as these.
